A schoolgirl was found dead in woodland after suffering an allergic reaction to her school's WiFi that made her life a misery, an inquest heard.

The parents of 15-year-old Jenny Fry claim that she suffered from electro-hypersensitivity (EHS), which caused her to suffer tiredness, headaches and bladder problems.

Her mother Debra told the hearing that Jenny was badly affected by the wireless internet connections at Chipping Norton School in Oxfordshire, where she was a pupil.

After becoming increasingly distressed by her symptoms - which were never investigated by a doctor - the schoolgirl was found hanged in Brooke Woods, near her home in Chadlington, in June 11 this year.

Earlier in the day she had texted a friend telling her she was not going to school that day, the inquest heard.

Mrs Fry and her husband Charles Newman told Oxfordshire Coroners' Court two weeks ago that they believed their daughter became ill because of WiFi, and had removed the internet connection from their own home.

They told today how she would often hide herself in empty classrooms and would only sit in certain seats in lessons so that she would be as far away from the router as possible, they said.

Speaking after the inquest, Mrs Fry said: WiFi and children do not mix. I believe that WiFi killed my daughter.'

Mrs Fry had told how Jenny started showing signs of EHS in November 2012. She said: 'Jenny was getting ill and so was I. I did some research and found how dangerous WiFi could be so I had it taken out of the house.

'Both Jenny and I were fine at home but Jenny continued to be ill at school in certain areas.

Jenny is only 15. of all the reasons to commit suicide, it was not bullying, not recreational drug abuse, and not, apparently mental illness, but Wi-FI, so it is claimed.

Teen Girl Took Her Life After Suffering From What Her Mom Claims Was an "Allergy to Wi-Fi"

I wonder if she has the ska2 suicide gene variant.

why not simply drop out of school and maybe get home schooled?

Id never imagine suicide to this could ever happen.

suicide by hanging sounds less painful than suicide to jumping or train. not sure how it compares to drowning though. not sure why only now it is being reported when it happened in june 2015. by now i mean dec 1 2015.

the medical scientific community does not see scientific evidence for wi-fi allergy. wi-fi is too low energy and there is no medical evidence for it. what ever the reasons for her problems, the current medical opinion is that it was not due to wifi.

Schoolgirl found hanging from tree after suffering from 'rare allergic reaction to WiFi'

Jenny Fry had crippling headaches and bladder problems and battled tiredness
A teenage schoolgirl was found hanging from a tree after she began suffering from an allergic reaction to WiFi, an inquest has heard.

Tragic Jenny Fry was left with crippling headaches, tiredness and bladder problems brought on by electro-hypersensitivity (EHS).

An inquest into her death heard how the 15-year-old's mum Debra said her symptoms were caused because she was allergic to wireless internet connections at her school.

Jenny's body was found hanging from a tree at Brooke Woods, near her home in Chadlington, Oxon., at 4.20pm on June 11.

Earlier in the day she had texted a friend telling her she was not going to school that day.Her mum Debra and dad Charles Newman told the inquest they believed their daughter was made ill because of WiFi.

Although they had taken the WiFi out of their own home, it was still used in Chipping Norton School, Oxon., where she was a pupil.

Mrs Fry told Oxfordshire Coroners' Court Jenny had started showing signs of EHS in November 2012.

She said: "Jenny was getting ill and so was I. I did some research and found how dangerous WiFi could be so I had it taken out of the house.

"Both Jenny and I were fine at home but Jenny continued to be ill at school in certain areas.

"She was receiving lots of detentions, not for being disruptive in class or misbehaving, but often because she used to take herself out of the classroom to find another where she was able to work. She took her schoolwork seriously.

The least they could do was allow her to take them in rooms where she felt able to concentrate, but they wouldn't listen.

"I fully believe Jenny did not intend to take her own life. I think she was frustrated with school.

"She would not see a doctor but was seeing a counsellor at school who was helping her.

"She had not made any suggestions she was thinking of suicide and I believe it was a cry for help."

Jenny's parents are now campaigning to remove WiFi from nurseries and schools and urging the government to look into researching EHS.

Mrs Fry said: "I intend to carry on my campaign to highlight the dangers of WiFi.

"I am not against a bit of technology but I do feel schools should be aware that some children are going to be sensitive to it and reduce its use.

"I think some technology is very useful. I am glad I had a mobile phone with me when I found Jenny so I was able to ring for help."

A police statement said Jenny texted a pal at 9.36am and 10.05am telling her about her intentions and stating where she was but her friend did not have her phone with her.

Recording a narrative verdict, Oxfordshire coroner Darren Salter said he was unable to rule out it was a possible cry for help because of the texts she sent to a friend.

He said there was not enough proof to suggest Jenny intended to take her own life and recorded a narrative verdict.

He added: "It can't be demonstrated to the required standard of proof that it is certain she intended to take her own life."

The inquest heard there were no medical notes to prove Jenny suffered from EHS.

maybe she just suffers from migraines. or perhaps wi-fi makes migraines worse.

she did use smart phones and did text from them.

just 15. still if she were to suffer from terrible headaches and other severe pain for the rest of her natural life perhaps this is better. Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven
