i just watched

Shadow of Doubt Crossing Bad Creek Bridge

the murder of  Taylor Paschal-Placker, 13, and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker

by Kevin Sweat

they featured a criminalist and profiler I respect, Brent Turvey

At the burned and charred remains of his fiance, they found shell casings from a .40 caliber that matched those found at  Taylor Paschal-Placker, 13, and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker murder scene.

Kevin "confessed" to the murder those 2 girls. claim he acted alone. claims he shot both girls with 2 guns, a .40 and a .22 from inside his car at Bad Creek OK.

his reason was he saw "monsters" and thought those 2 girls were "monsters". he suffers from some sort of hallucinations, if he's truthful.

Brent Turvey agrees he suffers from mental health issues and is a violent and homicidal person.
for one thing he shot and killed his fiance. second thing is he attacked his own lawyer at court with a razor. he's bad.

but did he actually kill Taylor Paschal-Placker, 13, and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker

Kevin Sweat has since recanted his confession.

Brent Turvey and the documentary outlines facts and reasons to doubt this case has been fully solved.

WELEETKA, Okla. (AP) — The bodies of two girls were found shot to death in rural Oklahoma along a dirt road the best friends walked dozens of times to play and go to sleepovers.

By Tuesday, investigators had no suspects and were unsure of the motive for Sunday's killings of 13-year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker.

Taylor's grandfather found their bodies after his wife got no answer when she called Taylor's cellular phone. The girls were sleeping over at Taylor's house and had decided to take a walk down the desolate road Sunday afternoon.

Investigators suspect a local person was involved because the killings occurred in such an isolated area, Rosser said. Possibilities include that it was a random shooting, the girls had intended to meet someone or they may have interrupted a crime that was occurring, he said.

Skyla's family said she walked barefoot almost everywhere and rode her bicycle down endless dirt roads. Where she went, her many cats followed, along with her pet goat. Skyla wanted to become a veterinarian, said her grandmother, Claudia Farrow.

Taylor rescued helpless turtles crawling in the middle of the road and wanted to become a forensic scientist like the ones on TV shows, said Placker, who raised the girl.

"She was the best kid I've known," he said.

The murders particularly have shaken a community where some drivers leave their keys in their cars and people who live 10 miles apart call themselves neighbors.

"I can't put it into words," said Jake Fenley, Skyla's basketball coach. "This doesn't happen in rural middle America."

On Tuesday morning, Taylor's uncle, Joe Mosher, drove up to the makeshift memorial at the place the bodies were found. Yellow crime scene tape had been torn away and thick patches of grass were matted down.

A rosary hung from a branch, and stuffed animals and a bouquet of flowers just beginning to wilt formed the grim reminder of innocence lost.

"It's the most tragic thing that I've ever seen," said Nell Mosher, Taylor's aunt. "They were just two precious little babies; they were good girls."

the girls had an all night saturday night party, sletpt in, woke up mid day, then walked to the creek for fishing and turtles. there they got shot in a remote rural area. they were by themselves.

here's the issue

the bodies were shot with 2 different guns, a .40 glock and a .22 gun, believed to be revolver.
it seemingly suggests 2 different shooters, not one.

one of the girl's groin was shot, but there was no entry bullet hole from her shorts and panties, and her shorts were untied.

but most importantly they found semen on the panties of both girls, and biological material on both girls bodies, and also tested clothing for DNA.

the DNA they found, including semen, eliminated Kevin Sweat. In no uncertain manner, Kevin Sweat did not deposit the semen found on these 2 very young girl's panties. The semen could only come from killer or accomplice.

Now there are 1 of 2 viable scenarios

1- Kevin Sweat had an accomplice who also shot the girls, and whose semen is on the panties
2- Someone or two killers other than Kevin Sweat deposited the semen on those girls panties.

other explanations like a boyfriend can be ruled out, per parents, they didn't have boyfriends and there weren't any boys with them on the night before or with them in the home.  neither girl was known by friends to have had a boyfriend that could serve as a source for the semen.

Brent Turvey said that the fact their panties had semen, and their panties and shorts were pulled down, and they were shot in the groin, before shorts pulled back up, implies a sexually motivated homicide.

this crime is not completely solved until the semen can be sourced. the DNA eliminated all male relatives of both girls, and several male suspects who were neighbors. DNA was entered into CODIS no match.

this is DNA from semen on both girls panties. they also found biological material on the girl's bodies not sourced to Kevin Sweat, but believed to come from killer.

there may well be 1 or 2 killers of both girls who is still free and on the lose in Bad Creek, OK.
who carry a .22 and .40 and if they're gonna kill 2 girls, they can kill anyone.

safety lesson: walking by yourself or with another person, in a forest like area near a creek can get you shot to death

Brent Turvey did testify in Kevin Sweat's appeal on this matter, but the court denied it.
Now Kevin Sweat is a dangerous homicidal psychopath so he is where he belongs in prison.
I do think either Kevin sweat had an accomplice or another individual actually murdered these 2 girls.

in advocating for a withdrawal of Sweat's guilty plea, his attorney noted that investigators had ruled out Sweat as the source of semen product found in the two girls' panties.

The appellate court discounted the importance of that evidence, noting that Sweat's defense attorney had discussed that evidence with him before he pleaded guilty. The two girls had shared underwear, judges said.
....

A report by a forensics investigator said Placker was shot in the groin, but there was no bullet hole in her shorts and her shorts were untied, which "suggests that the offender(s) removed them and put them back on."

Medical examiners reported finding no evidence of sexual trauma to either girl.

Jessica Brown, spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, said she could not discuss the evidence, but investigators are convinced Sweat acted alone and the case has been closed.

"The person who was arrested, pleaded guilty and was sentenced, we feel confident he is the person who committed these murders," Brown said. "We have direct evidence linking him to it. We have his own words saying what he did and how he did it."

until that semen is sourced,

I think at least 1 or 2 killers are still walking the streets and Kevin Sweat is innocent of this, though not of his fiance, murder.

cyclops cyclops
