According to the Saanich Police Department, Jason has been interviewed several times over the years and has always cooperated with the police. He has also passed a polygraph test. However, he has always refused to provide a DNA sample.

Chris Horsely is the leading investigator of this crime,

he states Jason Zailo was fully cooperative, he provided everything they requested, all the interviews, passed a polygraph, all the physical evidence matched Zailo's account and was cleared as a suspect

it's hard to imagine Jason Zailo refuses DNA and then being officially cleared, and Chris Horseley saying he cooperated with all the requests, but failing to mention he refused to provide DNA.

so I regard Chris Horsely and Crime Watch Daily With Chris Hansen and Dateline - The Dreamhouse Mystery to be better sources than a podcast by someone with unclear sources.



so I think Jason Zeilo did provide DNA. i'd like to see where the podcast got their information that Zeilo refused.
