I just finished watching all 6 episodes of

Invisible Monsters: Serial Killers in America

typically these shows feature just 1 killer in each episode, but not this documentary from AE

they spend about 10 minutes talking about 5 serial killers throughout each episode, ted bundy john wayne gacy, dennis raider, jeffrey dahmer and green river killer gary ridgeway

lots of information i had not known before, though i mostly didn't follow them too closely.

in the case of ted bundy, he killed women in just about every circumstance imaginable, and among them included home invasion.

in tacoma washington he entered a home with family present and abducted and killed a young woman, but no heard or saw anything or even realized she went missing.

and in florida he entered a chi omega sorority and killed and attacked several women there.

ted bundy had groupies.

these serial killers all started killing in the 1970s, and they emphasized how much of the age of dinosaurs crime and forensics were. from dna to computers we take for granted was all absent then.

BTK dennis raider was also a home intruder killer.

dennis raider said he mostly just saw his victims as he was living his life, including his neighbor, and stalked them and killed them.

he spent a great deal of time stalking and collecting information on his victims, while also being married and raising kids.

the profilers emphasized these killers killed solely for pleasure which is not a concept that was well understood even in the 70s.

obviously JBR's killer could have both written the ransom note and killed JBR solely for pleasure, something that is clearly beyond the grasp of RDI.

definitely worth a watch, some forensics is also discussed. Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven
