what happened to me today cat and stalker

I arrived at pick up a Thanksgiving basket at a church at 10:30am. I have to arrive early or else the food delivery may run out. I was hoping for Turkey for Thanksgiving, from a church.

I parked in a poor dilapidated on story houses street that was 2 way, but because of the other cars parked, it was one way only. There are no side walks in this location


It was nice day so I left my car and I walked, saw friendly black cat meow and approach me, and so i went on a drive way of this house and petted.

A white male, 50 ish looking living about maybe 3 houses down asked me if i lived there and I said no, I'm just petting a cat

He told me I'm trespassing, though not his house but a neighbor, and he's calling the police. Okay i said. I quickly left.

he sat in a chair in front of his house and stared at me for 2 hours. he took his smartphone and pointed at me from a distance and took multiple photos.

When the time came for food to be dispersed, I had to drive my car past his house, so he ran behind my car and took photos of my license plate. the cars behind saw this.

I complained about this to the church volunteers. the drivers in the car immediately behind me confirmed this to be true and what he saw. he thought it was stalkerish.

After i picked up the food i spoke to the pastor of the church that had the Turkey food drive . he gave me his number. I also called the local police department. they said no complaints and that he probably would not be able to access my personal residence based on a license plate number.

so to review, I saw a friendly cat meowing at me and approaching me. So I went to the driveway where the cat was and started petting it in broad daylight full sunlight at 11am.

A neighbor for 3 houses down said I don't live there get out, I'm trespassing and he said he's calling the police. He sat outside on a chair in front of his house, then stared at me for 2 hours and took photos of me and my license plate.

I did pick up turkey and thanksgiving basket at the church, but obviously I'm kinda shaken what kind of craze maniac this guy is.

this all started with a friendly black cat meowing at me and approaching me, and this area has no side walk.

the police said they know the area and that the people there are very territorial. he said they didn't receive a report thus far, and that only the home owners can do so, but as i left when i was told to and no damage or vandalism its' unlikely to amount to anything.

but a crazed maniac took multiple photos of me my car my license plate and stared at me for 2 hours with nothing better to do that morning.

I was standing on the driveway just a few feet from the road, petting a cat that approached me, and this maniac called me a trespasser and stared at me for 2 hours and took photos of me and my license plate.

I told him I'm just petting the cat, and then when he said he's calling the police i said sorry okay.

Now he has my license plate number I'm worried he might stalk me.
