A Clay County mother is mourning the loss of her 17-year-old daughter who was killed in a car accident Friday night with her boyfriend.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the car the teenager was driving crashed into a tree. The car overturned and came to a stop upside down in a retention pond off Oakleaf Plantation Parkway.Gini Turner identified her daughter, Allena Rae Turner as one of two teens killed in the accident.

Neighbours told Daily Mail Australia the devout Christian family, who are parishioners of Central Mountains Baptist Church in the lower Blue Mountains, were polite and mostly kept to themselves.

'You never saw the children, they were very religious and were homeschooled,' a neighbour said.

A 17-year-old girl was killed when a driver who may have been impaired collided head-on with her vehicle, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday at County Road 130 and Township Road 56 in McArthur Township.

A 2000 Ford F150 was traveling north on County Road 130 when she traveled left of center and into the path of a 2011 Honda CR-Z driven by 17-year-old Chloe Hodge, of Bellefontaine. The two vehicles collided head-on.

Hodge ultimately died from injuries sustained in the crash. The other driver was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital with serious injuries, but police described her as stable.

The driver was cited for going left of center, but detectives suspect she may have been impaired or under the influence at the time of the crash. The sheriff's office said charges pending as they await the results of a blood test.

Hodge was a junior at Indian Lake High School and part of the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center health career academy.
