Doctors said it was excitement that killed London Eisenbeis, throwing her heart into an abnormal rhythm and sending her into cardiac arrest while she was in the slide. London had waited two years to go on the Super Loop Speed Slide, the biggest slide at Zehnder's Splash Village in Frankenmuth.

Ruby Hill's story began when she was 19. She was fit and healthy and training to be a pilot in Ardmore, south Auckland, until one day she started to feel sick while eating lunch.

Doctors believed Hill was suffering from early on-set appendicitis, however after having her appendix and a ruptured ovarian cyst removed, she never recovered.

"After the surgery I was in severe pain and would just vomit whenever I tried to eat something, whether it was solid or fluid it didn't matter it wouldn't stay down."

Nine months later, she was diagnosed with gastroparesis, a condition where the stomach is unable to empty itself of food properly.

The two girls were identified as Cassandra Elizabeth Gilbert, 16, and Madison Grace Gilbert, 12, both of whom lived in McGrady, the Highway Patrol said in a news release.

Cassandra Gilbert was driving north on N.C. 18 in a 2006 Ford Freestyle when she pulled into the southbound lane, trying to pass a school bus at a curve in the road.

Her timing put the utility vehicle directly in the path of an oncoming GMC pickup, the Highway Patrol said.

“Although the GMC attempted to avoid the collision, the vehicles collided head-on,” Master Trooper Jeffrey Swagger said in the news release. “The Ford came to rest in the roadway; the GMC overturned and came to rest on a guardrail on the shoulder....Both girls died as a result of the collision.”

16-year-old girl and her younger sister were killed in a head-on crash Thursday afternoon while trying to pass a school bus. , a 2006 Ford Freestyle driven by 16-year-old Cassandra Gilbert was heading north on NC 18 and following a school bus. the teen tried to pass the bus in a passing zone, but before she could complete the pass approaching a curve in the road, the Ford collided head-on with a 2003 GMC pickup truck. Cassandra Gilbert and her 12-year-old sister Madison Gilbert, both of McGrady, were killed.

Wakefield was transported to Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton for an autopsy. No other details have been released.

All three were killed by gunshots, Smith said, in a suspected murder-suicide.

She was the passenger in a motor vehicle accident where Amber, who was sitting in the back seat was reported deceased upon arrival of the Boston police and rescue.she was a 2016 graduate of La Salle Academy in Providence. She had just finished her junior year at St. Leo University in Florida where she was majoring in psychology.

n Marissa Griffin’s 17th birthday Saturday, a friend took her for a drive so her family could prepare a party for her at their home in Meridian. The weather was perfect for a drive, and the two teenagers headed for the foothills along Robie Creek Road’s winding route. They didn’t make it home.

At about 6 p.m., Griffin’s friend was driving the car west, about 2 miles west of Highway 21, when a wasp flew into the 2004 Dodge Neon. Griffin was allergic to wasps, and in the teens’ efforts to get the insect out of the car, the vehicle went off the roadway and overturned into Robie Creek, according to the Idaho State Police. The friend was was able to escape the vehicle, but Griffin died at the scene of the crash.

Staff and students at George McDougall High School in Airdrie are mourning the loss of Jacqueline Avery after she was killed in a collision Wednesday afternoon.

The 17-year-old girl was in a vehicle that was involved in a crash at Highway 567 and Range Road 285 when it collided with another vehicle at around 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Students at her school confirmed she was the teen who died in the crash.

Layne, 14 at the time of the accident, suffered third-degree burns after she tried to restart a dwindling bonfire off the back porch of a friend’s house at a small New Year’s Eve gathering in Fort Pierce. The group had been roasting s’mores as party treats at the bonfire. Layne poured gasoline on the bonfire and the gas can exploded, engulfing her in flames.

She had attended Lincoln Park Academy, played softball and was a straight-A student.

Dodge Durango operated by Mikaila Koch, 17, was northbound on Highway 65 when it hit the back of a Chevrolet Cruze operated by 37-year-old Clorissa Tilden of Reeds Spring. Cruze then went off the roadway and hit a guardrail. An 11-year-old passenger in the Cruze was pronounced dead at the scene.

The high school junior was pronounced dead at the scene in rural Fredon Township after the sedan veered off the road and overturned, authorities said.

The driver, Anthony Burke, 17, and two other passengers, 16-year-old Maria Fiore and 17-year-old Nicholas Chavarria, were seriously injured in the crash, officials said.
