A 16-year-old girl jumped to her death from the fifth floor of the Danbury Fair Mall parking garage Saturday afternoon.

The teen, identified as Danbury High School student Hailey Nailor, had reportedly contemplated her decision to jump or not while on Snapchat. She, unfortunately, decided to jump.

"It's really a tragedy," said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. "We are investigating, but it appears to be a suicide."

By the time she was just 20 years old, Flur Mcdonald had lost both of her parents in agonising circumstances.

The 24-year-old had to deal with losing her 'rock and best friend' when her dad died in a house fire when she was 18.

Just two years later Flur lost her mother in a car accident, leaving her orphaned when she was barely out of her teenage years.

A bullied 12-year-old girl hung herself in the bedroom of her home in England because she was tortured by the pressures of social media, authorities said.

Jessica Scatterson of Warrington “felt emotionally overwhelmed” by the “intensity of her activity on social media” before she committed suicide nearly two years ago, according to a newly released coroners office investigation, cited Tuesday by the UK Metro.

“She’s always been a very happy girl,” said Tom. “About a year ago, she started having some problems with depression.” He says Alydia was getting help with a counselor and medication, but then that stopped.

She lived with her mom in St. Louis. A week ago, he went to visit and take her out to dinner. He dropped Alydia off with her mom and headed back to Illinois where he lives.

“I had just gotten into town when I got a call from her step-dad saying I need to turn around and come back. So I do a U-turn and give her a call. He tells me that she has hung herself,” Tom said. “I ask him ‘Is she alive?’ He says ‘No, I don’t think so.'”

Doctors found a pulse, but she was braindead.

The family had to make a decision. They chose to donate her organs.

He said he didn’t see any warning signs, so he is letting his daughter’s life and death be the warning for others.

Alydia’s liver went to a 61-year-old man.  Both of her kidneys went to two 58-year-old men.  Her heart went to another 15-year-old girl.

On the inside, she struggled. But Nolan was open with those struggles with her mental health.

Schlosser said that she thought they were doing everything right. Nolan was seeing a therapist.

Her mother said that at no point did they think Nolan was suicidal.

After a serious bout with meningitis during the Christmas break, Nolan returned to UK’s campus. Schlosser said that soon after, on Jan. 8, 2019, she got a knock on her door. She was told that her daughter, her ray of sunshine, had died by suicide.

“I don’t think I’m ever gonna get through grief, but I need to figure out how to turn our hurt into hope,” said Schlosser.

She wants to make sure that her daughter’s story does not end, so she created The Rae of Sunshine Foundation.

Through the foundation, Schlosser is travelling the state to talk about mental health and suicide.

“You have a story as well, your story is important, and what can you do to change other people’s story,” she said.

The teenager from Arnhem was granted the right to end her own life after sexual assaults and rapes as a small girl led her to develop post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and anorexia.

She was attacked three times as a youngster.

The first two incidents were molestations when she attended children's parties aged 11 and 12 before she was raped by two men when she was 14 in the Elderveld neighbourhood of the city.

For years she never revealed the horrific abuse because it left her feeling ashamed, the 17-year-old said.

Last year, Noa said that she had reported the attacks to police saying she hoped the men will one day be arrested.

She told the Gelderlander in December that she initially contacted the Life End Clinic in The Hague without telling her loved ones.

The teenager said: "Out of fear and shame, I relive the fear, that pain every day. Always scared, always on my guard. And to this day my body still feels dirty.

"My house has been broken into, my body, that can never be undone. "

Noa spent her final hours saying goodbye to her heartbroken friends and family.

She had text her dad the next day to share the news that she was planning to visit Bristol Temple Meads University and look at a psychology and mental health nursing course, as she hoped to help others undergoing the similar struggles she herself had experienced.
