what i like about this documentary is it has both experts and crime scene photos

hopefully ABC doesn't get too mad, i post screen grabs from the documentary


i didn't know prior to watching this that Lou Smit had daughter Cindy Marra and grand daughters identical twins



i wonder if they were ever on any forum like reddit or websleuth

there are so many things forensic science covered in this documentary it'd take me forever to detail them all but this one i'll do now,


CBS special, on 911 call states Burke's voice at the end as Patsy didn't hang up,

well 20/20 did what CBS didn't do,

hire this guy Ed Primo audio engineer forensics expert





he analyzes the 911 tape,







his expert witness scientific conclusion is that the signal to noise ratio in the portion of the tape that is disputed, after 911 asks Patsy and repeats her name several times, and where CBS claims has Burke's voice, is too low, too much noise to signal, so no intelligible message is recoverable.




she adds the secret service and FBI also concluded no additional conversation is audible

at the end of the program they mention Lou Smit suspects including

John Mark Karr were all eliminated via DNA



they said there's one suspect on Lou's list but no mention of genetic genealogy
