Police have released the name of an 18-year-old senior at Penn High School who was killed in a crash on Ash Road in eastern St. Joseph County Monday.

Kassidy E. Hockert of Granger died after hitting a tree between Douglas and Dunn around 2 p.m.

She was the only one in the car.

We're told Hockert was active in choir, dance and theater groups.

The driver was identified as 18-year-old Kassidy Hockert of Granger.

Police said Hockert's vehicle struck a tree on the west side of the road in the 54000 block of Ash Road, just north of Dunn Road.

Hockert was pronounced dead at the scene.

Abbie McLaren passed away in hospital after she was struck by the vehicle in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire at around 4.30pm.

The bodies of Aubrianne Moore, 28 and her daughters Alaina Rau, 2; Cassidy Rodery, 6; and Kyrie Rodery, 8, were found deaths of Alaina Rau, 2, Cassidy Rodery, 6, and Kyrie Rodery, 8, have been classified as homicides by the medical examiner’s office. The death of their mother, 28-year-old Aubrianne Moore, was ruled a suicide, WOOD reported.

Police believe they've accurately mapped out the events that led to Monday’s deaths. They say it started with Moore picking up her two oldest girls from school around noon.After stopping for lunch, LaJoye-Young said, Moore took all three girls to their great-grandparents' property in Solon Township, shooting them behind the home using her boyfriend’s bolt-action hunting rifle, WOOD reported.

Moore is said to have put the bodies in her car before driving to her boyfriend’s home and turning the gun on herself. All four bodies were discovered around 4 p.m.

No note was left, but investigators say that Moore had grappled with mental health problems.

Announcing her death, Jordan's mum Michelle Gurr Dawes said: "Today our beautiful total amazeballs warrior daughter Jordan Dawes went to sleep for the last time.

"We are heartbroken beyond heartbroken and I don't know how we are ever going to continue without our beautiful girl. She had so much life to live."

Jordan was only diagnosed with liver cancer in November after she suffered a stroke.

Lilliana is the second Highlands student to suddenly in recent years. In August 2017, 15-year-old Michelle Chalk was killed in a hammock when one the trees supporting it collapsed and fell on her.

Highlands Middle School student Lilliana Schalck died suddenly on Saturday, superintendent Karen Cheser said in a release.

School officials said Lilliana was competing with private cheerleading team Premiere Athletics at a competition in Columbus on Saturday when she fell ill.

Highlands High School Athletic Director Kevin Nieporte said Lilliana was then taken to the Emergency Room where her condition quickly deteriorated.

It’s unclear what caused her death.
