Brooke Ryan 16 A teenage girl who turned to inhaling aerosols while battling anxiety was found dead on her bedroom floor after a suspected heart attack. Assistant school principal Anne Ryan found her 16-year-old daughter Brooke dead in their home in Broken Hill, in far western NSW, on February 3. 2022

She had been been sniffing aerosols, which is also known as 'chroming', 'huffing' or inhalant abuse.

Her grieving mum has spoken out on Mother's Day about the 'nightmare' she endured since finding her daughter's body.

Ms Ryan had no idea her daughter was abusing inhalants, and warned parents about what to watch out for.

'I wake up, I think of her, I go to sleep and think of her... Every day is a nightmare,' she told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Warning signs include someone suddenly having a lot of headaches, using more deodorant or other aerosols than usual, and white patches on tea towels or hand towels.

Susan is believed to have been a victim of serial killer and former police officer Gerard Schaefer. He lived near Susan and was known to pick up victims hitchhiking, something Susan did often.

Fike was told Quinn fell and hit her head and that trauma killed her.



The Quinn Fike Memorial Fundraiser GoFundMe has been created to help with burial expenses for our beloved Quinn, 16, who did not survive a June 8, 2022 hiking accident near our home in Las Vegas.

Quinn had just completed her junior year at the Las Vegas Academy where she studied dance and pre-collegiate courses. This summer she had been invited to visit the University of California at Berkeley's medical studies department to attend a summer study program for high school students who intend to pursue medical careers.

A letter to parents from the West Salem School District identified the teen as Marley Tauscher, who had just finished her freshman year at West Salem High SchoolRescue crews responded at 1:29 p.m. to a jet ski accident on the west channel of the Mississippi River in La Crosse County.
