Who is the Connecticut Child Killer?

On May 18th, 1969, Diane Toney, an 11 year old girl, went to a local parade in New Haven. When she didn't come home that night, her mother reported her missing.

She wasn't found until September, when a mushroom picker discovered her skull. Authorities then searched the area & found her skeletal remains and fragments of her green polka-dot dress in a wooded area 15 miles away from her home. An autopsy done in Washington confirmed it was her. She was too badly decomposed to establish a cause of death but the case was ruled a homicide. Toney's mother, devastated, refused to believe that her daughter was dead.

Due to her family refusing to claim her remains, her body sat in a plastic bag in a prosecutor's office for 27 years before she was finally buried.

Diane Toney was the first victim of a still unknown serial killer, who brutally murdered 4 girls in Connecticut in the 1960s & 70s.

perhaps he was in Connecticut for military reasons then moved to Michigan for job related reasons.

i had previously theorized the Oakland County Child Killer may have also been involved in The Unsolved Murder of JonBenet Ramsey

if same killer for Connecticut Child Killer and Oakland County Child Killer case

and he was 20 in September 21 of 1970

on dec 25 1996 26 years

he'd be 46 years old

he'd be responsible for at least 4 known child deaths as Connecticut Child Killer by 1970 and 4 more by 1977 as Oakland County Child Killer

possibly others from Adam Walsh in Florida to Amy Mihalavic in Indiana to Tracy Neef in Colorado

then Jonbenet

maybe the OCCK Allen letter is right and Vietnam really screwed him up

1969 coincides with the Vietnam war nearing the end of US involvement

Later, on the 27th of May, Mary Mount, a 10 year old girl, vanished after playing in a park in New Canaan, just yards away from her home. The only clue they had was her shoe, which was found by her mother in a sand pit.

Her disappearance was initially believed to be a kidnapping for ransom. Mary Mount's father, Joseph Mount, was a wealthy executive at IBM. But a ransom letter never arrived.

Three weeks later, 2 teenagers looking for a place to fish found her body near a reservoir 7 miles away from her home. Authorities searched the area for clues & scuba divers were brought in to look for a murder weapon in the reservoir. But the murder weapon was right beside her head, a large rock was used to bludgeon her skull until it cracked.

A girl riding a horse found her body in a field a mile from her home on July 30th of 1969. Her clothes, a white blouse & blue shorts with polka dots, were in disarray, & she may have been sexually assaulted prior to her murder.

An autopsy revealed she was murdered the same way Mary Mount was, beaten to death with a boulder.

On September 21 of 1970, 5 year old Jennifer Noon was abducted while walking home from Kindergarten for lunch. She was last seen by a crossing guard with a man in his late 50s to 60s, wearing a dirty yellow polo shirt. He was described as between 190 & 200 pounds, had a stocky build, 5'6 to 5'8, & a protruding stomach.

Some of her clothing was found near a cemetery by the police, but no body. Her remains were later found by a volunteer searcher close to a gravel road, about a mile from where her clothes were found, in New Haven. The volunteer found her skull behind a boulder, wedged in the ground. Her head was crushed by a rock. A $10,000 reward was offered for information leading to an arrest & conviction of a suspect.
