The heartbroken parents of Milla Foster, who died from what seemed like a common illness, have issued a plea to the public.
They are urging others not to ignore their instincts following the 12-year-old's death, just days after being diagnosed with gastroenteritis.

Milla Foster died on October 19, 2023 just two days after she was taken to the Kapunda Hospital in South Australia's Barossa Valley.

Doctors looked at her on October 17, 2023 for an hour and a half before diagnosing her with gastroenteritis and sending her home with medicine.

Layla Khan, 16,

A teenage girl died from a blood clot three weeks after being put on the contraceptive pill and two days after being told by a GP that she had a stomach bug, her family has said.

Layla Khan, 16, suffered from agonising menstrual cycles and was advised by her friends to take a contraceptive pill to ease her symptoms.

The college student, who had plans to study at Oxford University, began to take the tablets on Nov 25, but by Dec 5 she started having headaches and by the end of the week began vomiting.
