Fuquay-Varina - Heaven received an amazing angel on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Alanna was 11 years old. She was born on November 20, 2012, in Wake County, to Michelle and Michael Capps.


Alanna attended 5th grade at Hilltop Christion School which she loved with all her heart. She enjoyed attending GA’s and the Club 56 program at Piney Grove Baptist Church where she attended. She loved being outside, playing especially with her dog Bruno, going fishing with her family, feeding the birds, doing crafts, making mints, and reading the Christmas book at Aunt Dianne’s and Uncle Randy’s each Christmas morning. She loved all her many school/church friends and her stuffed animals. She especially loved okra, squash, crushed ice, ice cream, grilled cheese sandwiches, and helping her granny cook. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her infectious smile, and kind, loving, sassy, and giving spirit, and will be greatly missed by her family, many friends, and all of those she touched throughout her short life. She was a child of incredible Christian faith who could light up any room.

On February 20, 2024, Alanna Capps met Jesus face to face. Her infectious smile and loving heart will truly be missed by all who encountered her. She was a loving daughter, sister, and friend. We may never be able to understand why the Lord would allow her such a short amount of time with us, but we are eternally grateful for the promise of Heaven. While we grieve the loss of such a young friend, we also want to support her mother, Michelle, as she carries the burden of medical and funeral

Marie's Obituary

Marie Katherine Fuelling was given life by her Creator and was born on April 29, 2010, the child of Matt and Karey Fuelling.  On May 16, 2010, she received the gift of Holy Baptism in the Name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit and became a child of God. She confessed her baptismal faith in the rite of Confirmation on April 4, 2024, and was welcomed to the altar that same day to receive the medicine of Immortality in the Body and Blood of her Lord Jesus Christ.  One day later, on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the age of 13 years, Marie fell asleep in Jesus at Riley Hospital for Children after a brief battle with brain cancer and was welcomed to her home in heaven.  Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

Marie was the kind of student who brought life to the halls of St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran School. She enjoyed and was talented in many different sports. Marie was active in volleyball and basketball at St. Peter-Immanuel and Zion Lutheran Decatur, running track at Bellmont Middle School, Bellmont AAU Basketball, and Decatur Softball League.

In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, being with friends, and taking care of her animals. Marie could bring a smile to any ones face with her personality and quoting “dumb” movies.

Nellee Bell Obituary

Surrounded by her family in the early hours of January 16, 2024, Nellee Ann Bell, age 11, ran joyfully into the arms of our Savior and entered into paradise.

Nellee was born to Heath and Megan Bell April 19, 2012 in Vernal, Utah. From the moment she came into this world, she radiated a joy that was contagious to all that knew her. Nellee fell in love with everything there was about life. She had a passion for the outdoors and the beauty of the earth. She loved hiking in the mountains and all of the flowers this world has to offer. She spent summer days soaking up the sun on the lake with her family- wakeboarding, wakesurfing, or tubing at every chance she could get. In the winters, she looked forward to the many snowboarding trips with her parents and five siblings. In her free time she loved being with her countless friends, perfecting her different accents, crafting, dancing, playing volleyball, and showing off her six pack.

Nellee had a deep love for Jesus and carried the light of Christ with her wherever she went. She once told her mom, "I love you so much, but I love Jesus more!" Nellee's testimony of Jesus Christ was strong throughout her life and she strived to live her life as Jesus would. It became apparent that the Savior was walking with her at every moment. Her infectious smile, tender heart, and extraordinary spirit was an incredible example to every person who was blessed to know her. In her time on this earth Nellee loved and lived as Jesus did, and will continue to do so heaven-side.

Nellee's faith remained at the forefront of her incredible fight with cancer. In the summer of 2023, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her knee. In August she received a rotationplasty and healed better than expected. Nellee had a rapid recovery and quickly went back to dancing through life. Within a few months of her surgery, the cancer metastasized and spread to her lungs. She worked hard to regain the full range of motion in her foot in order to use her prosthesis. On New Years Eve, she proudly reached her goal and cried tears of joy to complete the last motion she needed to be able to use her prosthetic leg fully. Despite the challenges life presented, Nellee never lost her smile or sense of humor. She loved to freak people out with her cute backwards foot, show off her funny faces, and make people laugh with her signature eyebrow wave. Her radiant smile and beautiful light captured the hearts of many as she shared her journey with the world. Throughout her rotationplasty, prosthesis fitting and lengthy medical treatments, Nellee's joy and faith remained steadfast. She inspired everyone to be "Tough as Nellee'' and live life to the absolute fullest.

Jane Kathryn Rolf, age 2, joyful daughter of the Heavenly Father, passed into His Arms unexpectedly on April 14, 2024, at her family home.
Jane was born on June 3, 2021 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Emma (maiden name Mulderink) and Daniel Rolf.
Jane's bright smile and caring heart brought joy to everyone she encountered. She loved to sing hymns and worship songs nonstop, play with her sister Penelope (1yr) and her many wonderful cousins, read books all day, go on walks, play with chalk, and do everything Mama did. Every book became her hymnal. She loved feeding the family chickens, gathering the eggs, and checking on her family cow, "Laudette". Jane knew that every Sunday meant we were going to Jesus' House; now she is in His glorious House forever. We know that our profound loss is Heaven's gain, and we are confident that Jane's music and laughter are resounding in the Halls of Heaven with the Communion of Saints. We are so grateful for the short time we had her on this earth. She has impacted us forever.
