My theory is that Mr. Cruel knew of  Graeme Thorne kidnapping and murder and travelled to Boulder Colorado in Dec 26, 1996 entered the Ramsey home, abducted Jonbenet Ramsey, wrote the ransom note, and was significantly influeced by Graeme Thorne kidnapping

i'm revisiting some ideas i laid out earlier

I will state my assumptions

the first assumption I make is that Mr. Cruel, an Australian kidnapper of the 80s and 90s was familiar with  Graeme Thorne kidnapping, was the 1960 abduction and murder of 8-year old Graeme Thorne in Sydney.

While I cannot prove he was,  Graeme Thorne was one of the first and most famous kidnapping in Australian history, and that Mr. Cruel is himself Australian and a kidnapper.  it's significant that Graeme Thorne kidnapper Stephen Bradley wanted $25, 000 for Graeme, and Mr. Cruel also wanted $25, 000 for Nicola Lynas.

it seems highly likely Mr Cruel knew of the Graeme Thorne kidapping

Lottery procedures in Australia were changed after the Thorne case[27], with winners being given the option of remaining anonymous.[6] The case also proved pivotal to the development of forensic science and new kidnapping laws in Australia.[21][23] Kidnapping for ransom was seen as a primarily American phenomenon[5] - most notably in the Lindbergh kidnapping - but prior to the Thorne case, such events were unknown in Australia.[5] The late crime journalist Alan Dower was of the opinion that Thorne was not Bradley's initial target.[citation needed] Dower's theory was that his younger sister was Bradley's target and that he had no intention of killing her. At 4, she was young enough that, if she had been kidnapped and then released, she would not have been able to give any useful information that could identify her kidnapper. However, she was also so young that she was never away from her parents. This case, alongside later events such as the Wanda Beach Murders and the Beaumont kidnappings, "marked an end of innocence in Australian life".[6][18

ref https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graeme_Thorne_kidnapping

the Graeme Thorne kidnapping is one of the most famous crimes in Australia along with Wanda Beach and Beaumont kidnappings, and Mr. Cruel himself is famous in Australia and is a child kidnapper himself.

The assumption Mr. Cruel knows of the Graeme Thorne kidapping is entirely reasonable as the assumption Mr. Cruel knows about Wanda Beach and Beaumont kidnappings.

Based on this assumption, what aspects of the  JonBenet Ramsey ransom note and crime can be explained as Mr. Cruel writing the JonBenet Ramsey ransom note and the crime in light of Mr. Cruel's knowledge of the Graeme Thorne  kidnapping?

in other words we are attempting a source criticism of JonBenet Ramsey ransom note

Source criticism, as the term is used in biblical criticism, refers to the attempt to establish the sources used by the author and/or redactor of the final text. ... It was subsequently considerably developed by German scholars in what was known as "the Higher Criticism", a term no longer in widespread use.
Source criticism - Wikipedia

Source criticism was originally done in Bible studies, in attempts to find a secular non-theistic source for the material of the Bible. For example, a secular explanation for Genesis is that it is based on an earlier Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh, and that the Torah is based on 4 sources, J E D and P.

The Gospels of Luke and Matthew source is Mark and a sayings gospel Q.

Here we are interested in sourcing the text and material of   JonBenet Ramsey ransom note

without Mr. Cruel's actual handwriting and historical exemplars (and DNA) this must be seen as highly speculative.

but the references and allusions in the Jonbenet Ramsey ransom note should be seen as easter eggs to the earlier Graeme Thorne kidnapping

Easter egg (media)

An Easter egg is an intentional inside joke, a hidden message or image, or a secret feature of a work (often found in a computer program, video game, or DVD/Blu-ray Disc menu screen). The name is used to evoke the idea of a traditional Easter egg hunt.[2] The term was coined to describe a hidden message in the Atari video game Adventure that led Atari to encourage further hidden messages in later games, treating them as Easter eggs for players to find.[3]

these are facts of  Graeme Thorne  kidnapping from wikipedia

The Graeme Thorne kidnapping, was the 1960 abduction and murder of 8-year old Graeme Thorne in Sydney for part of the money that his parents, Bazil and Freda Thorne, had won in an Opera House lottery. The crime, which caused massive shock at the time and attracted huge publicity[3], was the first known kidnapping for ransom in Australian history.[4][5][6] The police investigation that led to the capture and conviction of his murderer, an immigrant named Stephen Bradley, is regarded as pioneering and a textbook example of forensic investigation in Australia.[7][8

Background

By 1960, the construction of the Sydney Opera House was proving increasingly expensive, so the New South Wales Government initiated numerous Opera House lotteries to help raise money. The £100,000 first prize (equivalent to A$2.85 million in 2016 values[9]) for Lottery 10[5] was won by Bazil Thorne (ticket 3932) in the lottery drawn on Wednesday 1 June.[10] As there was no real conception of the need for privacy for lottery winners at that time, and also for the sake of transparency, images and private details of the Thornes' lottery win were published on the front pages of Sydney newspapers.[5] It was also revealed that the prize would be paid by Thursday 7 July 1960.[11]

The Thorne family consisted of Bazil, his wife Freda, older daughter Cheryl (who had been institutionalised), son Graeme, and younger daughter Belinda. They lived at 79 Edward Street, a rented house in the Sydney suburb of Bondi.[3][12] Eight-year-old Graeme Thorne's morning routine was to wait at the corner of Wellington and O'Brien streets, a walk of approximately 300 metres[13], where a family friend, Phyllis Smith, would pick him up and take him to school with her sons.[14] On the morning of 7 July, 5 weeks after the win, Thorne left for school as usual at 8:30 AM, but when Smith came to collect him at 8:40 Thorne was nowhere to be seen. Smith drove to the Thornes' home to find out if he was going to school.[14] Surprised, Freda Thorne confirmed that he was and wondered if he might have arrived at the school by some other means. Smith drove to the school, The Scots College in Bellevue Hill, but Thorne was not there, and returned. A concerned Mrs Thorne then called the police to report that he was missing.[11]
Ransom demand

At 9:40 AM, 70 minutes after Thorne had left for school, a man with a noticeable foreign accent telephoned the Thorne household. Sergeant Larry O'Shea of Bondi Police had already arrived around 9:30[14], and took the telephone from Mrs Thorne, pretending to be Mr Thorne (who was out of town in Kempsey on business). The kidnapper stated: "I have your boy. I want £25,000 before 5 o’clock this afternoon. I’m not fooling. If I don’t get the money before 5 o’clock, I’ll feed the boy to the sharks."[5][10] O'Shea expressed doubt as to his ability to get hold of such a large sum of money, being unaware that the Thornes had recently won the lottery. The caller then said that he would call back at 5 PM with more details, and hung up. At 9:47 PM the kidnapper phoned again, but the telephone was answered by a different police officer (also pretending to be Mr Thorne),[15] who stalled for time to allow for a phone trace to happen.[14] The kidnapper started to give instructions that the money was to be put in two paper bags, but then hung up abruptly without providing further instructions.[16]

the Jonbenet Ramsey ransom note

Mr. Ramsey,

Listen carefully! We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We do respect your bussiness [sic] but not the country that it serves. At this time we have your daughter in our posession [sic]. She is safe and unharmed and if you want her to see 1997, you must follow our instructions to the letter.

You will withdraw $118,000.00 from your account. $100,000 will be in $100 bills and the remaining $18,000 in $20 bills. Make sure that you bring an adequate size attache to the bank. When you get home you will put the money in a brown paper bag. I will call you between 8 and 10 am tomorrow to instruct you on delivery. The delivery will be exhausting so I advise you to be rested. If we monitor you getting the money early, we might call you early to arrange an earlier delivery of the money and hence a [sic] earlier delivery pick-up of your daughter.

Any deviation of my instructions will result in the immediate execution of your daughter. You will also be denied her remains for proper burial. The two gentlemen watching over your daughter do not particularly like you so I advise you not to provoke them. Speaking to anyone about your situation, such as Police, F.B.I., etc., will result in your daughter being beheaded. If we catch you talking to a stray dog, she dies. If you alert bank authorities, she dies. If the money is in any way marked or tampered with, she dies. You will be scanned for electronic devices and if any are found, she dies. You can try to deceive us but be warned that we are familiar with law enforcement countermeasures and tactics. You stand a 99% chance of killing your daughter if you try to out smart [sic] us. Follow our instructions and you stand a 100% chance of getting her back.

You and your family are under constant scrutiny as well as the authorities. Don't try to grow a brain John. You are not the only fat cat around so don't think that killing will be difficult. Don't underestimate us John. Use that good southern common sense of yours. It is up to you now John!

the way to approach this is, why did Mr. Cruel say that in the JonBenet Ramsey ransom note in light of what is known about Graeme Thorne kidnapping?

On Tuesday 16 August, 5 weeks after the kidnapping, and 1.5km from where the school case was found, Thorne's body was finally discovered on a vacant land in Grandview Grove, Seaforth in Sydney,[21][20] and identified at the City Morgue by his father the next day.[12] Wrapped in a blue tartan picnic blanket, and tucked into a ledge, Thorne was tied with string, had been gagged with a scarf, and was still wearing his school uniform.[7][22] The blanket containing the body had been there for some time; 2 local children had known about it but the discovery was only made when mentioned to their parents around 7:00 PM that day[20].

interesting to compare how Graeme Thorne was found was wrapped with a blanket and ligature with how JonBenet Ramsey  was found was wrapped with a blanket and ligature. Karmein Chan was also found buried and shot in the head.

During the entire time Graeme Thorne family were getting the money and pleading with kidnapper to call back for the money, Graeme Thorne was already dead. He was killed on the day he was abducted, based on autopsy and state of decomposition.

Forensic experts (including from the School of Agriculture, University of Sydney[15]) then gathered time data from his body, his stomach contents, fungi on his shoes, and fly larvae (identified as Calliphora stygia).[15] Examination established that he had been murdered within 24 hours of the kidnapping,[15] and dumped soon afterwards.

Jonbenet of course was dead when the Ramseys read the ransom note.

How   Graeme Thorne died when he was found

Examination of the body showed cuts and abrasions and internal trauma, and it was clear that the boy had died from either asphyxiation or a skull fracture or a combination of the two.

Both  JonBenet Ramsey age 6 and  Graeme Thorne age 8 had skull fractures and ligature strangulation, and both were hidden and concealed wrapped in a blanket.

Both  JonBenet Ramsey age 6 and  Graeme Thorne age 8 were abducted, ransom demands were made. Both made the claim of being foreign. Both were killed within hours of their abduction, as revealed at autopsy.

Both were found dead wrapped in a blanket with ligature. Both on autopsy died from both ligature strangulation and a head blow and either was sufficient to kill.

Why would Mr. Cruel   kill  JonBenet Ramseyin this manner and dump her body in the basement wrapped in a blanket? Bc he was re-enacting the  Graeme Thorne kidnapping and murder.

Aftermath
Lottery procedures in Australia were changed after the Thorne case[27], with winners being given the option of remaining anonymous.[6]

Grame Thorne's father won the lottery and fat cat is a popular term in Australia to refer to wealthy people. Australia also has a show fat cat and friends - never aired in the USA

so the question is why was  JonBenet Ramsey murdered. Who murdered  JonBenet Ramsey? Why was there a ransom note, and why does the ransom note say what it says?

The Mr. Cruel theory posits that Mr. Cruel traveled from   Australia to Boulder Colorado, similar to how Australian national  Justine Damond travelled from Australia to Minnesota MN where she was shot and killed, targetted Jonbenet Ramsey and entered her home and wrote the ransom note.

This Mr. Cruel theory also posits that Mr. Cruel was intimately familiar with Grame Thorne, and both the ransom note and how Jonbenet was murdered - with ligature asphyxiation and skull fracture wrapped in a blanket was an easter egg and homage to the muder of Grame Thorne

or to turn this around, If Jonbenet Ramsey ransom note and murder was indeed influenced by the Graeme Thorne  kidnapping and ransom demands and actual murder consisting of being wrapped in a blanket, ligature strangulation and skull fracture, what does this say about the offender?

it implies Jonbenet's killer was a killer familiar with Australian crime and kidnappings and murder, such as the  Graeme Thorne kidnapping and murder.

in 1996 there was no wikipedia and the internet was just beginning, and books in the USA about Australian crime are few and hard to come by, so it would imply the killer either is from Australia or spent time in Australia.

the one Australian national that would be familiar with child kidnappings and entering homes is just one, Mr. Cruel, and no other.

it is of course possible Jonbenet has a neighbor a few houses down, or even several miles away, who traveled to Australia, spent time in Australia, and learned of Mr. Cruel, or spoke to Mr. Cruel over a pedophile internet board.

USA is a major tourist destination for Aussies, and likewise Australia is a major tourist destination for many Americans. and both nations speak English.
Mr Cruel is unique in that he is a serial home invading pedophile. there's home invading pedo's in the USA but they are all known to be single-offense.

I plan to go into future discussion but as I've stated before, NO RDI on any forum has any actual understanding of forensic science. Not trasha griffith, not superdave or cynic, no RDI on any forum understands but

this is also a basis for intruder theory forensic science.

actual real genuine forensic science, the kind real scientists use, not frauds like RDI frauds Delmar England and other RDI frauds

i will discuss this in a future post

(unless i die prematurely)

if i don't update this blog then probably something has happened to me either my death or death of family member or something  affraid
