Houston cardiologist, one-time doctor of George H.W. Bush, killed by man with 20-year grudge, police say originally appeared on abcnews.go.com

Houston police believe that the suspect who allegedly killed the one-time doctor of former President George H.W. Bush held a 20-year grudge against the cardiologist because his mother died while being operated on by the doctor.

Authorities have filed an arrest warrant for Joseph James Pappas, 62, who is believed to be armed and dangerous as well as suicidal, said Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo during a press conference Wednesday. The arrest warrant carries a charge of murder, Acevedo said.

so...

20 years ago, Houston cardiologist Dr Mark Hausknecht, 65 operated on the mother of Joseph James Pappas, and mother died.

so after 20 years of carrying a grudge, holding him responsible, Joseph James Pappas, saw Dr Mark Hausknecht, 65 riding a bicycle, he also rode a bicycle and shot and killed him.

the JonBenet Ramsey ransom note signs off, SBTC

one speculation is that it stands for Subic Bay Training Center

where perhaps John Ramsey was stationed, and maybe met the person who would carry a decades long grudge against John Ramsey and decided to exact revenge by killing his daughter JonBenet Ramsey

something similar to this happened to Heather Coffin, her dad fired his employee who who then killed Heather.

given that this is what happened to Dr Mark Hausknecht, 65 in broad daylight, in a hospital area, with lots of people out and about, by Joseph James Pappas, for something that happened 20 years ago in the past.

Jonbenet's death could be a decades long resentment grudge payback for some interaction between John and Jonbenet's killer, and SBTC is where it originated - Subic Bay Training Center

as with Dr Mark Hausknecht, 65, killing Jonbenet was the goal. not to collect any ransom so there was no need to remove Jonbenet's body.

the goal was to kill Jonbenet. there was no intention of kidnapping for ransom no need to remove her body for a ransom.

the ransom note has the easter egg of SBTC, and was part of his revenge fantasy.

so decades ago a younger John Ramsey meets someone at the Subic Bay Training Center
and has bared a grudge and wanted revenge and revenge came in the form of killing his daughter.

perhaps he wanted to marry Patsy Ramsey, but was jealous and heartbroken she fell for John Ramsey.

if it was decades ago, it would fit in the time frame when Dirty Harry 1971 was popular and appears to be quotes in the ransom note. 1996 ---> 1971 about 2 decades

second thing is wow, so if a doctor treats a patient but the patient dies, the family may hold a decades long grudge and kill the doctor pale

i've always thought this is the occupational hazard for LE, detectives and prosecutors, and abortionists, now i guess we have to add doctors. pale

I think the revenge scenario is plausible in the JonBenet Ramsey case. The goal of this person might have been for the Ramseys to be implicated, or even arrested and tried. Losing JonBenet was painful and could have been an added bonus for him. Getting his revenge could mean he wouldn't do it again until there was another grudge compelling him to exact revenge again.
