When they arrived at the scene, officers found that a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Franzel and a Pontiac G6 driven by a 22-year-old female from Lansing were involved in the collision, according to the outlet.

Authorities later determined that Franzel failed to stop at a stop sign, crossed into the path of the Pontiac G6 and struck its driver-side door.

Franzel was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries, while the driver of the Pontiac suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary's hospital, WEYI reported. At this time, her condition is unknown.

Reese was diagnosed with food allergies and asthma at a young age. Her family always had to check food labels at the supermarket, and her mother says that’s a habit she still has.

Clayton, 21, met Alexandra at high school in their hometown of New Hartford, Conneticut. They’d been dating for almost two years and seemed like the dream couple. Clayton had been a star athlete and a promising hockey player, while Alexandra had captained the local swimming team.

Faith was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She returned home from serving a mission in Jacksonville, Florida, in Nov. 2019, but her family says she continued her ministry by always teaching others that there is a “higher purpose to this life and a joy that can be found in a Jesus Christ-focused life.”

“The gospel teaches us to live like Christ. Faith saw the spirit and soul of everyone she knew,” Faith’s brother, Camron Jensen, explains. “If you knew Faith, you knew the gospel. She spoke with the light and wisdom of Christ.”

Her brothers and sister say she found beauty in the world around her and helped other people do the same. The legacy she leaves behind is one of faith, kindness, goodness, love, beauty and hope, according to her family.

Although the siblings agree that Faith “earned life’s greatest accomplishment too early,” they believe she wouldn’t want people mourning her loss.

“Faith would be upset that people are sad because of her. She always wanted people to feel good and to be comforted,” Faith’s brother, Brandon Jensen, says. “I imagine she would say, ‘Hey, I’m glad you miss and love me, but I don’t want you to be sad.”

A funeral will take place in Alpine, Utah, on Saturday.

Faith Jensen was traveling with friends to Yellowstone National Park and was involved in a tragic car accident in St. Anthony, ID. Faith was ejected from the vehicle and was transported from the scene to a hospital in Idaho Falls by AirAmbulance. Unfortunately, Faith succumbed to her injuries and passed away a few hours later.

Faith loved her family dearly and celebrated her 22nd birthday this past April. She served an honorable mission in Jacksonville, Florida and loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith was an angel among us and was a friend to all she came in contact. Faith is dearly loved by her family and friends and her passing leaves a gaping hole in our hearts. Faith will be deeply missed.

The weekend death of a Kansas City teenager at Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park highlights the dangers of the towering bluffs at the popular southeast Missouri attraction, officials say.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 18-year-old Mariah Brielle “Elle” Schramm died of an apparent head injury Saturday afternoon after slipping atop the rocky bluffs and falling into the Black River.

People frequently ignore trespassing signs at the spot to gain access to the bluffs and jump into the river, said Col. Tom Dresner, chief ranger with the Missouri State Parks. He added that the park writes tickets for trespassing, although no park rangers were policing that area when Schramm died.

Witnesses told park rangers that Schramm “seemed to indicate she was hesitant” to jump. About 3 p.m. Saturday, “she ended up losing her footing and slipping and hitting the rocks on the way down,” Dresner said.

The water is deep there and if someone were to jump far enough away from the bluffs, they can avoid hitting rocks, Dresner said.

“But she fell so close to the edge she ended up hitting her head on a rock shelf that was slightly below the surface of the water,” he said.
