9-Year-Old Girl Dies After Metal Rebar Impales Her Brain as She Falls Out of Tree

The 9-year-old had been playing in her backyard Monday when she accidentally fell from a tree. She landed on a metal reinforcement rod that went through her brain, mom Jesi Bergeson said on Facebook.

“The piece of metal ran through the whole left side of Shaylyn’s brain,” she said.

Monday evening, we lost two beautiful six year old girls. Cousins Penelope Jasko and Eleanor McBride have always been inseparable and are now in the joy of heaven, together as always. Hailey Elizabeth Jeffries, 14, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday morning, August 25, 2019 from injuries from a car accident.

A 14-year-old girl is dead after a crash over the weekend on Interstate 70.

Special, sweet and loving: That's how people who love Hailey Jefferies described her. The Independence teen died on Sunday after a crash on westbound I-70 that injured three others.

Police said just after midnight, Jefferies was a passenger in a car that was speeding and went into a construction zone. The car flipped, and Jefferies was thrown from the vehicle.

Now those who love her are honoring her memory.

Jefferies loved to cheer and was on the Truman High varsity squad. In middle school, she was part of the Independence Pop Warner cheer team. They posted photos of her time throughout the years with their organization.

Vivian Rose Fitzenrider was born August 8, 2016 in Houston, Missouri, and passed away August 28, 2019, near her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Vivian was preceded in death by her biological mother, Rachel Masters.
