Courtney Christensen, 18, of Lamberton, died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Cottonwood County Roads 4 and 22, Dale Township, reported at 11:39 a.m. Thursday. Dec 20, 2018

Courtney R. Christensen, age 18, of Lamberton, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018, as a result of an automobile accident in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. Courtney Rae Christensen was born on March 27, 2000, in New Ulm, Minnesota.

A 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Christensen was northbound on CR 4, when it was hit on the driver’s side by a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup driven by John Tibodeau, 77, Storden, who was eastbound on CR 22. Both vehicles entered the north east ditch where they came to a rest.

Both occupants in Tibodeau’s truck were transported to Windom Area Hospital. The crash is under investigation.

Emily Hampshire 14

Born on Oct. 22, 2004, gained her wings on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 14 years of her life with intentionally denying medical treatment for her daughter's diabetes, eventually causing the child's death.

She Hampshire first learned of her daughter's diagnosis in 2013 when Emily was just 9 years of age but took measures to conceal the diagnosis and withheld treatment and medication.

“If treated, it would be absolutely survivable. This death was completely senseless,” said Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Gibbons.

Emily died November 1, 2018 after paramedics were dispatched to the family's home in the 300 block of Brentwood Boulevard in Alton. The girl was not breathing and had gone into cardiac arrest. Emily was taken to a hospital in Alton and then airlifted to Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis where she died.

A teenage girl who died in a freak accident involving a glass bottle has been pictured for the first time.

Megan O'Connor suffered an injury to her groin when she fell on a glass vodka bottle which she was carrying in her waistband.

The bottle broke upon impact causing several injuries, including a severed artery.

The tragic 18-year-old died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

She had been out with friends in Dublin, Ireland, when the accident happened, reports the Irish Mirror.

Emergency services were called to the scene where they found Megan bleeding heavily from the wounds.

Dublin Fire Brigade Paramedics rushed the teenager to St James's Hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead just a short while later.

Murtaugh tweeted that she found her friend unconscious on Thursday morning and doctors determined Payton had H1N1 flu — also known as swine flu — and meningitis.An obituary in The Federalist called Payton “joyful, hard-working, and compassionate.” It said she had a deep Christian faith.

Presnar, 44, an electronics technician for the Coast Guard, also shot and critically injured his daughter McKenna, 8, in the shooting.

Little McKenna was airlifted to hospital where she has remained since the incident. When it finally became clear she would not make a recovery, her remaining family agreed to allow her organs to be used to help save the lives of others.

On Christmas Day, nine days after the murder-suicide, McKenna died.
