'Around 6.45pm on Sunday, 9 August,2020  police were called to a report of a 12-year-old girl in difficulty in the River Leven, near Balloch Bridge.

'Emergency services attended and searches were carried out. Around 9.45pm, the young girl was recovered from the water. Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.'

A man and his stepdaughter were killed and a third person was severely injured after all three were shot following a minor traffic accident on Highway 521 between Georgetown and Andrews Monday afternoon.
Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson has identified the two who were killed as 45-year-old Charles Nicholas Wall and 21-year-old Laura Ashley Anderson.
The surviving victim has been identified by family members as Paul McConnell. He remains hospitalized with a head and other injuries.
When the incident was dispatched, deputies were told there had been a fender bender accident at the intersection of Highway 521 and Indian Hut Road and shots had been fired.
When deputies, EMS, and firefighters arrived on the scene, they saw three people had been shot.
The suspect ran from the scene on foot, leaving his car behind.
At around 5:30 PM, he was spotted and was chased by deputies but escaped after running in another wooded area.
At 5:40 PM, bloodhounds were being transported to the scene.
About ten minutes later, he was taken into custody.
Sheriff Carter Weaver identifies the suspect as 23-year-old Hshm Tysheem Walters III of Moncks Corner.
He is charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Chloe was a sophomore at Blanchard High School, where she was actively involved in yearbook and track,’ according to an obituary.

‘Chloe was an extremely intelligent young woman and dreamed of one day going to college and becoming a lawyer.

‘On that journey, she looked forward to her first kiss, getting her driver's license, and one day going to Paris.

Ava Lynn Johnson, 4, passed away in her mother’s loving arms, with her father and grandmother by her bedside on September 9, 2020, at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Ava was born on November 2. 2015.

Our sweet little girl was in a terrible accident this afternoon. I know we have a village of people praying for her - and God is hearing them. I am so thankful for the paramedics in the ambulance, the many members of the ER trauma team that performed an emergency surgery when her blood pressure wouldn't stabilize, those that were with her when she was airlifted to Sanford, and for all those that are working diligently to help her now at Sanford. She has received the BEST care so far and I know she is in good hands.

Her right lung has collapsed, her left lung is bruised, she has internal bleeding, has several rib fractures, a cracked liver, and her elbow may be broken. Her brain seems to be ok!! Praise God! She has received a chest tube to help inflate her collapsed lung, a wound vac to help with the internal bleeding, 5 units of blood and 1 unit of plasma so far, and is on a ventilator to do the breathing for her.

We have a long road ahead of us, but with prayers and the amazing medical team watching over her, I have to believe she's going to be ok.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this.  In the early morning of Monday September 7, , 2020my dear friends Brian and Kelly Busch lost their precious baby girl Victoria “Tori” Lynn Busch. Tori was tragically shot and killed in Panama Beach City Florida, a violent and senseless loss of life.  

Born November 13th, 2000, Tori was just 19 years old.  She was a young sweet girl turning into a beautiful vibrant young woman. Tori had just recently graduated from North Paulding High School in 2019 and was enthusiastically enrolled at Georgia Northwestern Technical College where she was pursuing a bright future in welding.

Tori, described as a “goofball” by friends, had a zest for life and lit up a room the minute she walked in. She was a well-rounded energetic young woman who was just as comfortable in jeans and a T-Shirt as she was all dolled up in one of her many prom dresses
