Police said Anello, 16, was at the wheel during the single-car crash in west St. Louis County Sunday morning around 4 a.m. Investigators said the car was headed east along Kiefer Creek Road when it hit a tree and burst into flames.

The Casoms attend Marquette High School with Sajben and Keifer — both 15 — though Anello attended De Smet.

The Passon Family, Steve, Jessica, Jocelynn (12) & Drake( were involved in a tragic car accident on Friday, August 4, 2023, traveling home from a relative's funeral in Wisconsin. Another vehicle crossed the center line which caused a head-on collision. Their truck started on fire, Jessica was able to get out of the truck and pull both children out of the back seat, bystanders were able to pull Steve out of the front seat. Drake was airlifted to HCMC for observation and was discharged on Saturday, August 5th. Steve was airlifted to Eau Claire Hospital with extensive leg injuries and has multiple surgeries ahead of him. Jocelynn was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sudden loss of Jocelynn has left the family's hearts shattered.

Scott told KHOU that Callie's suspected cause of death is likely "a cardiac arrest that was caused by Long QT syndrome.”

According to Mayo Clinic, Long QT syndrome (LQTS) “is a heart signaling disorder that can cause fast, chaotic heartbeats (arrhythmias).”

Following their daughter’s death, Michelle and Scott want other parents to be aware of the condition and have their children undergo an electrocardiogram (EKG) on their hearts.  

The man who a judge once called a “cold” and “calculating” killer for stealing the life of a suburban teenager has died in prison, the Illinois Department of Corrections confirms.

Kelli Joy O’Laughlin was 14-years-old, a freshman at Lyons Township High School back in 2011. She went home from school early on an October afternoon when the man broke into her home during a robbery and encountered Kelli and killed her. The torment didn’t end there. Among the items he stole was Kelli’s cell phone and he used it to send taunting text messages to Kelli’s mom in the days after her daughter’s death.

On March 27th while at home doing a nebulizer treatment, Analena had a hard time catching her breath, thankfully Jess was home with her. While doing the nebulizer treatment, Analena appeared to be getting very little help from it. Jess immediately called 911 and then waited on the phone with the operator for paramedics to get there. However, her airway still wasn’t receiving enough oxygen for her body and brain. Analena went into cardiac arrest, where she was taken to the closest local hospital by ambulance, where they instantly decided to move her to Arnold Palmer Children’s hospital. Their care there is focused on children and where doctors could give her the best care for her condition. After being in the hospital for almost a month, Analena hasn’t been able to come off the ventilator. She’s improved in other areas, but still requires the ventilator to breathe. While

The Manhattan community is mourning after the tragic death of a high school athlete on Thursday.

“It’s a parent’s worst nightmare,” said Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer. “You think about it all the time when your kids head out, but you never expect it to happen to your child.”

According to Sheriff Springer, 17-year-old Delaney Doherty was killed on Aug. 3 on West Dry Creek Road when a 20-year-old driver crossed over the center line and struck Delaney's vehicle head on.

The 20-year-old was injured and flown to a hospital.

As for what caused the driver to swerve into Doherty’s lane?

“That is still under investigation at this time,” said Sheriff Springer.
