what is your theory of the crime? you've read my 2 major ones, mr cruel and occk, and speculations ranging from superintruder theory to snuff film to the ransom note being the main purpose

when he immediately removed jbr as soon as he could, several hours filming her killed her then returned

purpose of ransom note - to act as a trip wire and implicate the parents, also he thinks its a neat thing to do,

no intention of a kidnapping for ransom money

Been busy for a few days. I’m planning on doing this tomorrow. Played golf in a tournament today. I think my arm might fall off. But I did make a 35 foot put and won a prize.

I struggle with it being one perp or more. Whitson cites two studies that say this type of ligature strangulation is most likely committed by a single killer. But the scene is filled with contradicting behaviors like the Ransom Note. If it was two, one of them was taking orders from the other.

I think the murder took place in the basement where it’s believed she died (urine stain on the floor). Leaving the house with her and then coming back would be too risky even for that time of year when the students were gone and University Hill was pretty quiet.

JonBenet was groomed in the weeks preceding her death, and believed Santa was going to visit her that night. She probably thought it would be an adventure like Peter Pan and there was role playing involved. To some extent she cooperated, including the Note they left for Mommy and Daddy.

He woke her up, carried her out of the bedroom to the kitchen, where he transitioned from someone she thought she could trust to someone and something quite different. He tied her and took her downstairs. Once in the basement he began filming the torture. He choked her twice with the garrote yanking hard. He stun gunned her probably just to see her squirm. After she collapsed and was all but dead, he hit her hard most likely with the baseball bat.

I do think the Note was written beforehand, but JBR didn’t know what it said. It’s more role playing with the perp’s fantasies. Like you said, the perp thought it was a neat thing to do with no intention of an actual kidnapping. I think with all the movie quotes it shows the guy probably learned a lot in life from watching movies.

i think the ransom note was left behind as a kind of signal,

the reason i think this occurred in part, was all the trace evidence on JBR that was unsourced in the home.

what is your other theory?
