A middle school teacher in Houston surrendered to police Wednesday amid accusations that a 13-year-old student got her pregnant during a prolonged relationship, the New York Post reports.

Alexandria Vera was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, ABC 13 said on Wednesday.

She was working as an eighth-grade English teacher at Stovall Middle School last summer when she met the boy in her class, according to the station.

The 24-year-old allegedly told investigators that they were in love and the student would have sleepovers at her house and she would drive him to the school bus the next morning, the Houston Chronicle noted, citing court papers.

Vera became pregnant with the boy’s baby in January, the documents allege. The boy’s family was supportive of the pair and even included the teacher at family gatherings until Child Protective Services questioned the pair, according to the documents. She then terminated the pregnancy, the Chronicle reports.

“Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behavior with a male student,” the district said in a statement to media.

“When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave. Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.”

Mary Kay Fualaau (née Schmitz, formerly Mary Kay Letourneau; born January 30, 1962) is an American former schoolteacher who pleaded guilty to two counts of felony second degree rape of a child, her 12-year-old student, Vili Fualaau. Her plea agreement called for six months in jail, with three months suspended, and no contact with Fualaau for life.

One month after her release from jail, she was caught by police with Fualaau. Judge Linda Lau found that she was in violation of the conditions of the plea agreement, vacated it and re-sentenced her to seven years in prison. She was incarcerated from 1998 to 2004.

Michael Jackson was found to have a sizable collection of pornographic material at his Neverland Ranch in 2003 according to police reports cataloging the property following a search of the residence.

Many of these books and videos are also detailed in court papers from the time, submitted after a young boy came forward claiming that he had been sexually abused and assaulted by the singer on multiple occasions.

The police report claims that in Jackson's bedroom and bathroom alone there were at least seven collections of work found by investigators that show boys in their teenage years - and in some cases younger - fully nude or partially clothed.

One of the collections, Taormina Wilhelm Von Gloeden, is described in court papers as: 'Nude photos of teenage boys from late 1800s.'

The search of the home occurred in November of that year while Jackson was in Las Vegas, with 70 members of the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office and Sheriff's Department turning up to the residence.

An arrest warrant had been issued at that time as well, and Jackson later turned himself into police when he returned to California.

A teacher at Mill Creek High School was arrested and charged with sexual assault after she allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a male student.

The parent of the male student told police she found several inappropriate messages on her son's phone between him and his teacher, Julee Impara. The mother of the victim said she confronted Impara about the relationship and Impara did not deny the accusations.

The victim told investigators he met Impara on the first day of school. He claims he and Impara began having sexual contact outside of the school and she even picked him up from his home on occasion.

Police say they have obtained evidence that indicates Impara and the student were having a sexual relationship while she was still his teacher.

Defense attorney Michael Lastowski said the defense disputes some of the allegations of the case, but “for the purposes of the plea agreement we’ll accept those facts.”

Walker, who as a resident counselor at Bunker Hill Haven for Boys on Garner Road in Hanover Twp., is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with the teen between Oct. 28 and Nov. 1, according to the indictment.

The sexual conduct allegedly occurred once at Walker’s residence and once at the youth home, according to Butler County Assistant Prosecutor David Kash. He said the relationship was consensual, but Walker was charged because of her position at the youth home.

Walker was employed by Bunker Hill Haven as a resident counselor from Aug. 31 to Nov. 4, when she was terminated, according to a prepared statement released by the youth home on Friday.

“She was terminated on November 4, 2015, the day we first learned of any allegation against her,” a statement from Lori Turner, Bunker Hill director, and Trustee Greg Hull said.

Oxford police opened an investigation on Nov. 6 when “a mandatory reporter shared information regarding a reported inappropriate relationship between two individuals,” according to the police report obtained by the Journal-News.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Cumberland County woman has been arrested on allegations she had sex with a young boy for more than three years.

Paden A. Tennant, 22, of Upper Allen Township, is charged with rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with a minor, according to Upper Allen Township police and court documents.

“In the beginning of July, we had information reported to us that a sexual assault had occurred which caused us to interview Miss Tennant,” Detective Sergeant Tom Kauffman said.

The criminal complaint states Tennant began having sex with the boy in January 2012 when he was 12 years old and she was 19. The sex continued until June, when he was 15.

Under Pennsylvania law, a person commits the offense of rape of a child when they engage in sex with a child younger than 13.

Tennant surrendered to authorities Thursday. She was arraigned and committed to Cumberland County Prison on $40,000 bail. Court records show she has since posted bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled Aug. 26.

Tennant was interviewed by police and confessed to having sex with the boy, the complaint states.

She worked as an aide at a child care center, the Mechanicsburg Learning Center, but is not accused of any wrongdoing involving students. Police said they believe the crimes are isolated to one victim.

“We don’t believe anyone else was involved and there’s no reason the public needs to worry about it,” Kauffman said.

In a statement, Mechanicsburg Learning Center administrators said Tennant was fired immediately after authorities told them of the allegations.

Administrators said she received all state clearances and passed a background check before she was hired in December 2014. While employed, they said she was not alone with any students.

CARLISLE, Pa. — A Mechanicsburg woman will serve time in state prison for engaging in sex with a boy. Paden Tennant, 23, was sentenced in Cumberland County Court after reaching a plea agreement. Tennant began having sex with the boy when she was 19 and he was 12, according to court documents. The relationship ended in 2015.

Judge Thomas Placey sentenced Tennant to 48 to 96 months in prison to be followed by 2 years of probation for one count of rape of a child. She will also have to register as a sex offender.

A former student teacher has been charged with trying to solicit sex from a 13-year-old student during her first semester at a North Carolina school.

Trisha Anderson Rogers, 45, allegedly contacted the boy for sex while she was working at Murray Middle School, New Hanover County

Rogers is accused of using her cell phone to solicit the unidentified boy for sex between February 29 and May 5 this year.

ROGERS, Okla. (KTUL) — A high school English teacher is facing a rape charge after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student.

Kathryn "Katie" Wilmott, 29, was indicted Thursday by a multicounty grand jury and charged Friday with second-degree rape.

According to the indictment, Wilmott had sexual intercourse with a then-17-year-old student between Dec. 24, 2015 and Jan. 8, 2016. The teen was a student in Wilmott's class at the time.

Authorities say Wilmott and the student communicated regularly via Snapchat, her phone and other students' phones.

According to her biography on the school's website, Wilmott teaches 10th-grade English.

"This is my second year at Oologah and I am absolutely loving it," writes Wilmott.

The woman’s arrest comes after the child’s stepfather walked in his step-daughter’s bedroom on December 19 only to find Debenedetta and his 15 year old step-daughter undressed, with the teacher hiding behind the girl’s bed.

At the time, the teacher had come to see the girl on the pretense of buying her a chicken soup for an ailing cold only to be caught by the father who arrived to check up on his daughter.

According to winknews, Lauren Anne Debenedetta, of Haven Dance Studio, was on Monday charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor.

Never mind what the charges would have probably been had Debenedetta been a male.

Upon police interviews, the teen explained she and her dance instructor having an ongoing series of rendezvous that involved ‘kissing and other sexual acts’ both in her home and outside the home.

The closure of the studio comes after a Debenedetta, a NYU graduate and former professional dancer from New York moved to Florida to open her own dance studio in 2013, where the woman extolled (see interview below) a rigorous professional attitude towards the art form of dance. Indeed.

Upon her arrest on Monday, Debenedetta posted bail where she now awaits her next court appearance.

The incidents occurred at another school district before Vassallo moved to the Williamsport school district. She was suspended in August.

WILLIAMSPORT -- A former girls basketball coach in a Lycoming County school district has been accused of having sexual relations numerous times with two of her players.

Kelli S. Vassallo, 36, turned herself in Tuesday and was released on $50,000 unsecured bail on charges of aggravated, institutional and indecent assault, corruption of minors and criminal use of a communications device.

The charges follow a seven-month state police investigation launched after the younger of the two victims told a teacher in the suburban Loyalsock Twp. district.

Vassallo, a teacher in the Williamsport Area School District, was seventh-grade girls basketball coach between 2012 and 2015 and assistant girls softball coach from 2011 to 2014 in the Loyalsock district.

The Williamsport district suspended her with pay in August after it became aware of the state police investigation.

The arrest affidavit details activity with two victims, but one of them told investigators Vassallo would always be around young girls.

The younger of the two victims said she was molested at least 20 times, beginning in 2013 when she was 13.

Vassallo reportedly told the girl, according to the arrest affidavit: "I can't fight our feelings; I know it's wrong, but I think we should try to do this..."

The victim told investigators she would spend a lot of time at Vassallo's house in Loyalsock Twp. When asked what the two did, she replied "homosexual stuff," the affidavit states.

What began as touching advanced to kissing, showering together and then finger penetration until it ended in August 2014, the affidavit states.

The girl told investigators she was going through a difficult time in her life and Vassallo was helping her get through it.

She also told police she told her mother nothing was going on between the two of them, the affidavit states.

Early on, Vassallo told the victim the activity would have to stop if people started suspecting, the charges state.

The girl told police she spoke to a teacher this spring because she is now older and realizes the behavior was wrong, the charges state.

Vassallo is accused of having sexual relations with the other girl 20 to 25 times when the girl was 17 and another 25 times when she was 18. They would contact each other by cellphone and through Facebook, the charges state.

The victim said Vassallo became extremely nervous when the child molestation charges against former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky were in the news, the affidavit states.

That girl had been questioned by state police in 2010 but, the affidavit states, the case was closed when she denied Vassallo had done anything inappropriate.

Her parents had retained an attorney in 2009 who advised Vassallo not to have contact with their daughter after approximately 275 text messages between the two were discovered, the affidavit states.

Vassallo is accused of buying both girls gifts and offering to teach the older one how to drive.
